One Minute Guide To Ko Samui, Thailand

Koh Samui will always be my favourite Thai island! You can find the perfect balance between relaxing & going on an adventure… here’s some of my recommendations & top tips:

ACCOMMODATION

📍Villa The Spot - for our first night in Koh Samui we stayed at the most amazing villa in the mountains. It was ultimate paradise and I’m so glad we decided to go (even though it was quite tricky to get to!). The villa complex had two infinity pools, the most beautiful view of the sea and the rooms themselves were just complete luxury and the best part - we paid £35 per person per night (what a bargain!)

📍Montien House - for our final two nights in Koh Samui we stayed at Montien House which is a resort in Chaweng beach. We booked ourselves a room with a private pool which was something I never thought I’d be able to do (but again it was just so cheap!). The location in Chaweng beach was perfect as it’s the main area for tourists on the island and although the island was relatively quiet (due to the lack of tourists as a result of covid) there was plenty going on during the day & at night.

ACTIVITIES

- Private day tour around the island (morning yoga, Big Buddha, Bo Phut, Na Muang Waterfall)

- Ko Phangan & Ko Tao full day snorkelling tour

FOOD & DRINK

- The Jungle Club - after discovering this bar on TikTok, I had to give it a go and see for myself and it certainly didn’t disappoint! I ordered a goats cheese salad and a cocktail and although a tad on the expensive side, I’d highly recommend visiting (if only for the views!)
