My Review of The Coco Palm Resort In Saint Lucia

Updated: Oct 5, 2021

I visited Saint Lucia with my dad in November 2018 to watch the T20 Cricket Women’s World Cup. During our time in Saint Lucia we stayed at the Coco Palm Resort. This post is a review of my stay in what was an outstanding resort!

Despite arriving in Saint Lucia to a downpour of rain, as soon as we reached the Coco Palm Resort in Rodney Bay, we were instantly smiling. We were greeted with a smile from every member of staff at the hotel which really made us feel welcome. From checking in to showing us to our room, the service was very professional. The room itself was very modern and the décor was unique, with a Caribbean French Creole vibe. It was spacious, the amenities were good and the view from the room was fantastic.

Whenever I’m booking a hotel or resort, one of the main things I look for is whether there is a pool and how big the pool is! It’s safe to say that the pool at the Coco Palm Resort did not disappoint. The pool was very large and what I liked the most was the bridge that separated the different parts of the pool – it just added something a bit different and complemented the décor of the entire resort. The temperature of the pool was perfect, not too cold and not too hot but lovely and warm and perfect for those looking to go for a swim or just a quick dip.

Now, onto the food – wow, just wow! The food was delicious and fairly priced, especially when comparing neighboring restaurants. Included in the price for us was the buffet breakfast which was one of my favourite parts of staying at the hotel! From local Saint Lucian cuisine, to pancakes, to continental options, there was so much choice and it catered for all. In the evenings too we often ate whilst enjoying music performances which was a fantastic bonus! I have to mention the cocktails too as they were very popular amongst myself and my dad! My favourite was the Pina Colada which I often enjoyed by the pool. The waiters were very attentive and took an interest in us and what brought us to Saint Lucia.

The location of the hotel is perfect for those looking to explore Rodney Bay and be close to the beach. It was a short 10-15-minute walk to the beach and a 20-minute walk into town if you fancy a day of shopping. The nearby beach is beautiful and there are many water sports activities available. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at the Coco Palm Resort in Rodney Bay and I’d recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Saint Lucia soon!
