Whenever I visit a new city, I always try and discover the hidden gems as well as the tourist hotspots. Here are some of Paris' hidden gems for you all to enjoy...

  • Montmartre Vineyards - this vineyard has been in Montmartre for over 800 years and is now the last active vineyard in Paris! It's recommended to take a trip around October when grape picking season starts at the annual Fête des Vendanges.

  • Dome of Sacré Coeur Basilica - the Sacré Coeur Basilica itself is not a hidden gem as it's one of the most visited attractions in Paris - but it's Dome is! It is relatively unknown that once you've reached the Basilica's terraces, you can continue to the very top of the Dome. For approximately 6-8 euros and 300 narrow steps, you can see priceless views across the city.

  • Visit the oldest cinema in Paris - if you enjoy being a part of Parisian culture or love going to the cinema, this is a hidden gem for you! The Le Louzor Palais Du Cinema was restored in 2013 and is a part of Paris' history that remains a hidden gem when compared to some of Paris' most well-known attractions.

  • 59 Rivoli - if you're a fan of art then this is for you! After being renovated, it is now a welcoming space for art fanatics to see and exhibit art.

  • Search for one of Paris' medallions - there are 135 bronze Arago medallions all across the city that most visitors fail to notice. See how many you can spot on your next trip!
