Despite Iceland being one of the biggest tourist hotspots in the world, there are still many hidden gems that are waiting to be explored...
Grotta, Reykjavik - many locals say this is the best spot in Reykjavik to watch the sunset.
Seljavallalaug Pool - located in Southern Iceland, this pool is a hidden gem as most bus tours don't stop here (make sure you get here before they do!)
Hvitserkur Rock - Hvitserkur is located just outside the Hunafjordur fjord in Northwest Iceland. It's only a slight detour from the main Ring Road of Iceland, in between Reykir and Blonduos.
Fjadrargljufur Canyon - this hidden gem is located in Southern Iceland and is not far from the Ring Road so it's really convenient to get to.
Glymur Waterfall - this is Iceland's second-highest waterfall but is not on the itinerary of many tours which is why many consider it a hidden gem.
